QVSC Return to Skiing Document

Updated: Jan 8, 2021

This document will outline our plan for the 2020/2021 ski season to return to skiing in the era of Covid-19. It will be refined and adjusted as guidelines and interpretations to them change.

In designing this document, we have relied on guidance and interpretations from:

Alpine Canada

The Government of Saskatchewan

Mission Ridge

Anything in this document is subject to change at any time. Please read this document in its entirety. And please read any future revisions in their entirety.

The ability of our sport to continue in the era of Covid-19 hinges on the compliance of every single one of us to the guidelines that have been set. Non-compliance and the presence of cases of coronavirus linked to our club and our sport could ultimately lead to restrictions being imposed on our sport by the Saskatchewan Government, or loss of sanctioning of our club from SaskAlpine (our PTSO) or loss of sanctioning of our PTSO from Alpine Canada (our sport governing body).

Our ski club must lead by example. We must all do our part. We must follow the guidelines of Mission Ridge perfectly. And we must follow this plan and any revisions to it perfectly.

We are all blessed to be a part of the greatest sport on earth. The only sport that blends friendly competition with family and friends from all corners of this great province. The only sport that our kids will learn at a very young age that will provide them with outdoor physical activity for their entire life.

On behalf of QVSC, I’d like to thank everyone for their efforts in making this upcoming season the best that it can be.
